Train to be a Numeracy Champion to support others
National Numeracy, in partnership with Experian UK, are delighted to launch an exciting initiative in the East Midlands and Glasgow.
We’re on a mission to help improve employability, career opportunities and financial health in the region – by building a network of newly-trained Numeracy Champions.
If you are a workplace, organisation, community group or individual supporting others and living in the East Midlands or Glasgow, sign up below for training. The training is fully-funded by Experian, so there is no cost to you.
Our CPD-accredited Numeracy Champions training is designed to help you support people to improve their confidence with numbers.
Numeracy Champions don't teach maths, but instead support others to overcome anxieties about maths. Anyone can train to be a Numeracy Champion – you just need to already have a group of adults in place to support. More information on the training
If you live in one of these areas then your space has been fully funded by Experian and you can register today:

Numeracy Champions – Supporting Adults
If you are looking to support colleagues (including staff in secondary schools), learners, customers, or adults in the community to get started with improving their numeracy, then this is the training course for you. It is delivered online in 2 two-hour sessions.
You’ll learn how to lead a ‘Time to Talk Numbers’ conversation to get adults thinking about the importance of numeracy, and also how to direct adults to the National Numeracy Challenge learning platform. There is also the option to learn how to deliver ‘Confidence with Numbers’ workshops to adults.

Who we are
We are National Numeracy, a charity set up in 2012 to raise the levels of numeracy in the UK among both adults and children. Our own research and government figures show that around half of adults in the UK have the numeracy expected of primary school children, and we want to change this.
Our growing network of Numeracy Champions have helped thousands of adults, and we have now trained Champions in every borough of London. Join and see the difference you can make.
