Win prizes for your school or youth group
Children from youth groups, nurseries, primary and secondary schools, and homeschoolers can all take part to win one of six £50 gift voucher for themselves, as well as an amazing prize pack full of resources for the school or setting of their choice. Each category will also have three runners-up, winning a £20 gift voucher each.

The prize pack for the SEND/EHCP category is suitable for a variety of ages and levels, and includes a voucher for the recipient to use on resources of their choice.

The prize packs have everything you need to get your community feeling like Number Heroes. They are provided by National Numeracy, EdenTree Investment Management, Numberblocks, and White Rose Maths.
How you can enter – get creative!
We want to get children celebrating the magic of everyday maths, by imagining all the ways they might use numbers when they’re older!
To enter the competition, children need to create a picture showing us how they will use numbers when they grow up, in their dream job or hobby. Maybe they’ll follow in Luke Littler’s footsteps and need maths for speedy scoring in darts, or working out rhythm and rhyme in poetry like Harry Baker?
Whether they want to be a firefighter or florist, scientist or secret agent, we want to see and hear all about how their dream uses numbers!

Winners will be chosen by our celebrity judge
Our celebrity ambassador Bobby Seagull will be on the lookout for drawings that are the most imaginative, show great effort, and include the most creative uses for numbers.
“One thing that all jobs have in common is numbers – in fact, numbers are everywhere” says Bobby. “I can’t wait to see all your Number Heroes pictures!”

Children can take part at home, or through their nursery, school, youth group or organisation. The competition is open to children aged 3-13, and children and young people in receipt of SEN support or an EHCP (education, health and care plan) in the UK only.

And there’s plenty for adults and organisations this National Numeracy Day too!
There’s something for everyone this National Numeracy Day, with resources for adults and organisations too. And, for the first time ever, National Numeracy Day has a theme: we’re talking about money.
A third of UK adults say that being able to better manage their money is the reason they want to improve their maths skills. So, for 2025, we’re adding extra resources and activities to give your confidence and skills for managing money a boost.
Individuals, colleges, workplaces, organisations or community groups can sign up to receive a digital toolkit, bursting with ideas and resources to help you join in on 21 May.
National Numeracy Day is run by independent charity National Numeracy with Founding Supporter KPMG and a group of organisations who are dedicated to improving the nation’s numeracy confidence and skills.
