Activities for young learners
We want every child in the UK to feel good about numbers. Having fun as part of National Numeracy Day can be part of that.
We've got something for children at primary and secondary school so have a browse and get some confidence building activities for your children.
Money-themed maths activities
For the first time ever, National Numeracy Day has a theme: money.
Financial education is a vital theme for children if we are to tackle the fact that our young adults are both the most maths-anxious and have the highest need for numeracy in order to better manage their money.
It's never too early to make the link between numbers and money with children. Here you can find activities for different ages that are flexible and help to start conversations about money:

Money activities from Mr MoneyJar
Finance expert and podcaster Rotimi Merriman-Johnson, aka Mr MoneyJar, has created a set of resources to help children learn about savings, in a fun and imaginative way. It’s not about having lots of money, but about learning to use what you do have wisely – a subject dear to Rotimi’s heart.
